Brooklyn Beckham, the Beckham’s oldest, drops a photography book titled “What I see” this week. After harsh criticism by a few sneak speaker critics (“terrible photographs and even worse captions”), we want to wrap up a few good reasons on why you might like his Instagram-turned-coffee-table-book and what we even learned from it. Because we actually think it’s kind of beautiful. And yes – sad but fact – if you have an ex-Spice Girl and David Beckham as parents your career path might be a special one.
- First of all: imagine all the things he does see and takes photos off: His mum having a bad hair day, his dad… undressed, the homes and cribs of the world`s biggest A-, B- and C-List celebrities. Interested in a sneak peak now? We knew it.
- He is quite honest about what and whom he takes photos of: “If my mum sees me taking a picture, she kind of poses and stuff, and I don’t really like that.
- You definitely get a few sneak peaks inside the Beckham mansion. Do we need to say, it looks not only spotless, but pretty awesome? AND filled with amazing art? Nope.
- Brooklyn and his brothers and sister Harper are quite grown up already and sweeter than a huge bowl of ice cream. With sprinkles. And chocolate chunks. And unicorn whipping cream. Damn cute.
- With a launch at Christies, this is basically the smartest way how you get a new crowd (of his fans) into art. It pretty genius. Think of T.O.P’s Sotheby’s sales. It does work.
- Finally a “cultivated” (kind of) gift for your teenage neighbour girl or god-daughter. Better than a Justin Bieber DVD for sure – because in the end, it’s art.
