7 Artists That Have Made Their Way into the Kardashian Jenner Art Collections

Entertainment 19 Jul 2018
It’s no surprise that the Kardashian Jenner clan love contemporary art, as they sometimes talk about their influences on Keeping Up, pose regularly with artworks and even have it in their homes (during Vogue videos of 78 Questions With). Here are some of the artists – and the pieces – to find in the Kardashian Jenner clan personal art collections.
The fake Modigliani
Whichever artist faked this piece must feel very special considering the small splash of fame they might have had from it. Remember the 2014 episode when Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick were gifted a Modigliani? As we saw in an episode of Keeping Up, it was a fake after a conservators took a look. Still, it’s a work of art in their hands and it’s spectacularly fake.
Tracey Emin
Kris Jenner owns a neon piece by Young British Artist sculptor Tracey Emin, which we saw when Jenner opened the doors of her home to Architectural Digest last year.
George Condo
In 2013, Kanye gifted Kim a custom painting on a Birkin bag by George Condo, the New York artist who was a former assistant to Andy Warhol. That relationship between Condo and Kanye continued, as Kanye has also had Condo design his album covers.
Terry O’Neill
The acclaimed British fashion photographer who saw his rise shooting celebrities and fashion stars in the 1960s is featured in the home of Khloe Kardashian, who posted a photo of model Raquel Welch on a cross, which Khloe called a “dope piece of feminist art,” explaining “the picture was shot in 1966 to symbolize how Welch was ‘crucified’ by the entertainment industry for her sexuality.”
Yoshitomo Nara
The Japanese artist and illustrator is in the home of Kris Jenner, as we saw when the artist posted a picture of the matriarch’s home, which was photographed at Christmas.
Beau Dunn
Kylie and Kris Jenner both own artworks by the famed “Barbie artist” Beau Dunn, who uses barbie dolls and dresses them up and photographs them like pop culture icons.
Jean-Michel Basquiat
The famed New York painter and friend of Warhol has a piece hanging above Kylie Jenner’s marble fireplace, there’s a reportedly signed, limited-edition print of Jean-Michel Basquiat’s piece entitled “Hollywood Africans in front of the Chinese Theater with Footprints of Movie Stars,” which were only released with Pace Gallery in 2015, going for $50,000 at the time.
