9 Questions To Print Out for Your Next Art World Interview
A cheat sheet to bring along instead of forgetting what really matters.
Art Girls Jungle 18 Dec 2018

Interviews can either be an excitingly stressful process, or an awfully stressful one. Whichever way you feel, it’s normally a stressful hour or so of your life that you need to prepare well for. So stressful in fact that when some people are in interviews, they get so nervous that they forget to ask questions, which are very important. The questions you ask help you evaluate each employer and determine which ones a good match for you. In any case, it’s important to prepare questions prior to an interview so that you can demonstrate your impressive knowledge of the company and the job you’re seeking.

So instead of saying “no you’ve answered everything thanks”, or, “I’m sure I had some questions, I can’t think of any just now…” Here are nine great questions to ask in an interview when it’s your turn to ask the questions – good luck!

1.“How is success measured in this position? ”
2. “What are some of the day to day challenges I will face in this position ?”
3. “Can you describe a normal day in the job?”
4. “Why did the previous person leave this position? What has the  turnover in the role been like overall?”
Now you have asked some questions about the position itself it’s time to ask questions about how you can succeed in the position and the company itself.
5. “What are you hoping I will accomplish in my first couple of months and in my first year in the role?”
6. “ Who previously stood out in a positive way in this role and why? ”
7. “How would you describe the culture here? What type of people tend to do really well here, and what type don’t do as well?”
8. “What do you like about working here?”
Your final question should be about what happens next.
9. “What’s the timeline for next steps?”
