Airbnbs To Stay In During Your Favourite Art Fairs
For when you can’t face (or afford) another hotel
Art Expert 17 Sep 2019

Hotels can be fun, but sometimes we just want to stay in a regular (or not so regular) apartment during the hecticness of art fairs and biennials. I mean, who wants to bump into people at breakfast? Thankfully, Airbnb exists to make it that much easier to find a home or apartment to stay in when we are far away from home. And, we’ve just rounded up a list of potential spots to sleep in during art fair season.
Art Basel
Going with a big group? Why not stay in this luxurious building with a big bunch of friends. You have a rooftop pool with a view over Basel. I mean, what’s not to love about it?
Art Basel Miami
After returning from Switzerland, a trip to Miami deserves something a little more exotic. Why not stay in this Garden Suite, covered in lush vegetation and with a charming outdoor dining area. Its chic décor is due to the owner being a designer. Sign us up!
Frieze and Frieze Masters
If you didn’t already know, Frieze and Frieze Masters are located in one of London’s most beautiful parks (Regents Park), so it makes sense to stay as close as possible. How about this chic garden flat just five minutes away. A garden in London is a luxury, so it’s an even bigger reason to stay here.
Paris is the city of love, and also art. During FIAC, why not stay here? This cute studio is right by the Champs Elysee, meaning you will be perfectly situated to get all your shopping needs met after the fair.
The Armory Show
This apartment is situated on New York’s Highline, where many of the city’s best galleries are located. The duplex can sleep 7 people, so you can definitely have friends over after a busy day art-hunting!
During TEFAF, why not stay in this beautiful loft, located within the best of Maastricht’s nature. The building is a converted farmers barn and a short journey away from the art fair, meaning you can go straight from the woods to the art world.
Art Dubai
A trip to Dubai calls for something luxurious, like this apartment in the financial district, that is also home to galleries and Christie’s Dubai. The space comes with access to a pool, fitness centre and Jacuzzi, meaning you’ll definitely be living the Dubai lifestyle after visiting the fair!
