Based out of Berlin, Iranian gallerist Anahita Sadighi of Anahita Contemporary just revealed a collaboration with Iranian fashion designer Sepideh Ahadi, to model for her campaign Castle of Shirin.
The photoshoot was staged during Berlin Fashion Week and followed by an exclusive at the gallery and is a very unusual example of a fashion editorial.
The art involved in the set up for the shooting consists of antique Chinese furniture, Persian rugs and ceramics and Japanese wood cuts.
“Castle of Shirin” was a collection born from my roots and inspired by my beautiful homeland, Iran. It is the first time I have interacted so directly with this personal aspect. The photos we took are in memory of Qajar women and the fantastic old documentation of their poses and expressions. The lookbook we have created for A/W19 is more than just a representation of great photography, its an expression of intimacynwith one’snheritage, and sisterhood”, says the designer on the campaign.
