Let’s face the facts: You probably carry your phone around 24/7 like it’s an extra limb. If our phones are going to be with us basically all the time, it’s probably a good idea to make sure we’ve got the essential apps downloaded on them. As the number of smartphone users grow, so does the popularity of apps. To help you out, here we’ve listed the 21st century girl’s essential apps that are practical, efficient, and fun.

For solid reasoning, many women worry about walking home alone. Apps like Noonlight make your journey a lot less scary, literally with the press of the button. All you need to do is open the app and put your finger on the safe button. When you release your finger, you’ll be prompted to input your pin to let the app know you’re safe. If you’re in danger, just release the button and don’t enter your pin. The app will notify and send help, right away.
