✦ During PFW I went to see the amazing new punk/floral collection by Pierpaolo Piccioli for Valentino at Hotel Salmon Rothschild where I bumped into my gorgeous girlfriend Francesca Versace, who was telling me all about her new collection for F.E.V that she has been designing for her second collection of handbags to be launched soon. As ever Carlos Souza and Paola Cabano had done a fantastic job alongside all the wonderful team at Valentino!
✦ Later in the week my friend’s Laura Marciano and Nina Salamova (Saint Anne Studio) had been in charge of creative direction for designer Delphine Delafon at Palais de Tokyo. As the guests arrived we were met with a Gothic/punk funeral with a room filled with flowers, hedonism and a catwalk in the round that was truly otherworldly; it almost felt like I had been transported to Baz Lurhman’s Romeo & Juliet death scene.
✦ That night my girlfriend Magda Laguinge invited me to Carine Roitfeld’s launch for her CR Fashion Book celebrating its 10th issue in partnership with Hearst at The Four Seasons Hotel. It was a real pinch-me moment when I got to see one of my favourite French actors Isabelle Adjani alongside her son handsome son Gabriel Kane.
✦ A few days later I was shooting a new story for So It Goes magazine featuring the up-coming French singer Clara Luciani who’s new E.P Monster Love comes out this week. That day I had a wonderful all female team of Laura Marciano styling and Melissa Biard doing hair and make-up. Everything went smoothly and it was a dream shoot in Palais Royale – a place I had always wished to photograph.
✦ The following week it was my birthday and my mother and step-father had very kindly organized a lovely dinner with my close friends at Park Chinois in London. The next day I was part of a group exhibition at Serena Morton’s gallery Songs To The Goddess alongside some fantastic artists such a Chris Levine, Billy Name, Francesca Bristol & Damian Elwes to name a few. The show was a big success and it was a pleasure to see my friend actress Daisy Lewis who was on bubbly form as ever and who was a little star struck as Robin Wright was at the show.
✦ This week my childhood friend Alice Naylor-Leyland (Mrs.Alice) launched her second collection for French Sole at The Connaught Hotel where guests were invited for a beautiful dinner in their ballroom. Alice had created a wonderful collection of Love, unicorn, rainbow and flamingos embroidered pumps that are definite must have for the summer. During dinner I was sat next to the stunning Arizona Muse who was telling us all about her upcoming wedding in a few months and had the cheeky menswear designer, Patrick Grant discussing disposable fashion with the beautiful Portia Freeman. Later in the evening, I had the pleasure of talking with the enchanting Jasmine Guinness who was telling me about some of her funniest fashion moments…
