Haunting
[ˈhɔːntɪŋ]

“A haunting new work by artist xy at gallery xy” is a sentence used in at least every 5th press release that we are receiving.
Basically, it is a frequently used shortcut to evoke the feeling that a certain work or series of work is incredibly good if there is not much more that one could add as info on the work. Or the PR lady is in a hurry between two coffee meetings and needs a quick filler sentence. Definitely no connection to something scary or the Ghostbusters
