Art Basel Miami is around the corner and its funny yet weird headlines are fast approaching.
This one relates to the ambitious entrepreneurship of a young artist, Qinmin Liu, who recently announced a part performance project/part business plan to kick off her own airline that will fly to global art events only.
It’s called Angelhaha Airline and it is said to make its maiden trip from New York to Art Basel Miami Beach on December 6.
“Angelhaha Airline promises to only fly to art events,” the airline explains on its webpage. Ticket prices apparently run somewhere between $300 and $3,000 and seats are very limited. Right now, the Airline has upcoming flights listed to destinations like Shanghai, Zurich, Berlin and goes on to upload new destinations. It`s definitely no low-cost price range, but in this case, it’s performance art.
Sounds fun – what to expect? Well, “Angelhaha will do everything to provide the happiest moment and environment to human beings,” reads the website. “We cherish every moment of ‘haha,’ because we understand we are living in an unstable, boring, full of lies world.”
Crew, get ready for departure!
