There are paparazzi photographers and then there are painters obsessed with reality TV.
The latter are on view in a retrospective of the coolest crop of celebrity art at the THNK1994 Museum in New York.
From Nicole Richie to Paris Hilton and the Desperate Housewives, the retrospective features art by Laura Collins, who has painted Desperate Housewives pointing at each other, to works by Derek Covington Smith, Miriam Carothers and Ton’yah Davis.
For a museum that often builds selfie-friendly installations for Instagrammers, we weren’t surprised to see a meme wall, human sized cigarettes and that VH1 star Tiffany Pollard’s jumpsuit (well, a replica) is on view, the same one she wore when she dropped by the museum.
