Since Beyonce and Jay Z posed with this painting of Meghan Markle, which was painted by Brooklyn illustrator Tim O’Brien, the artist has come into the spotlight for making what basically looks like a royal portrait her.
The couple posted the image in the background of their video broadcast as they accepted a British music award last week. But O’Brien is not alone. There seems to be a whole movement of Markle-mania art across the globe, from street art to satire.
Still, the artist says that: “I think she’s lovely and I wanted her to look regal, like a classic portrait, even trying to achieve an aged feel to the color of the piece, I would imagine she’s seen it and I do not know how she felt about it,” the artist says.
“Would love to know, but I’m sure she’s a busy person these days.”
