Marian Goodman Gallery has shared the news that it has hired the veteran museum curator Philipp Kaiser with the title of chief executive director of artists and programs.
Kaiser is a museum Veteran and prior worked for the Museum für Gegenwartskunst Basel, Museum Ludwig and Museum of Contemporary Art L.A.
This gives us a sort of Paul Schimmel dejavue who was working for MoMA and than started for Hauser & Wirth

In an email to friends and colleagues that was shared with ARTnews, Simon and Michaela de Pury write, “After a long person and professional relationship, we have separated our business interests and sadly decided to continue our lives separately.”
“This has been a difficult time for us both personally,” the letter reads later on, “and we would kindly ask that our privacy with regards to our personal lives is respected at this time.”

Artsy has laid off eight employees, with the cuts coming predominantly in the firm’s content-sales unit, which handles various forms of brand partnerships and the editorial department.
Simon Warren, Artsy’s senior director of communications, said the layoffs were part of the company’s efforts to focus on its art marketplace, which is “an increasingly meaningful source of revenue and key area of growth for our business.”
