News 09 Jun 2018
Avocado toast is the most annoying plate on Instagram, indeed. But to really dig into the trend of the world’s trendiest fruit, there is a forthcoming avocado pop-up museums called The Cado opening June 16 in San Diego.

Founded by San Diego-based creative agency & boom Unlimited (& boom), and sponsored by the California Avocado Commission, the 6,700 square-foot exhibition space inside of shipping containers, examines the avocado from seed to skin and plate. Set at the heart of Liberty Station, a waterfront in San Diego, it’ll be open until August.

“We’ve seen a trend of Instagrammable art pop-ups in cities like LA, NYC and San Francisco,” said & boom co-founder Mary Carr. “And we saw a chance to bring that concept to San Diego, while also incorporating a deeper element of learning through experience and art.”
