Balenciaga has launched a series of short films that mix contemporary art with music. The Loops video series, which has just debuted its second video, has been inspired by user-made looping animations that accompany mixes uploaded on YouTube.
The series’ debut, Loop 01, was animated by illustrator Max Guther, while the second was designed by Max de Waard. Both mixes have been produced by online radio station Rinse France, with each film deliberately incorporating pieces from Balenciaga collections.
The brightly coloured films have so far included a woman blow drying her hair for 35 minutes, while the subsequent film focuses on a messy bedroom lit by a fluorescent purple glow.
