Banksy's Surprise Pop Up in Venice

For someone creating art anonymously, Banksy has been pretty visible lately. After his sef-shreddering viral piece that has been hammered at auction last year, most recently he surprised with a series of works in London and Wales. This week, the artist rushed to Venice for another special mission.
Yesterday, the artist posted a video on his Instagram of apparently himself setting up “Venice in Oil”, a nine-part series of works which, depicts a huge cruise ship in front a Venetian backdrop. “Oil in Venice” is undoubtedly a comment on the mass tourism that swamps Venice.
Unfortunately, local authorities shut his stall down once noticing its instalment.
