It’s been over 20 years since the __ basketball court in Queens, New York, has seen a facelift. Now, the Brooklyn-based, female street artist MADSTEEZ has redesigned the court in a collaboration with BTN (Big Ten Network) and NYC Parks. Set in Astoria, Queens to show the artist’s signature “M” with the logos of the top 10 universities in the area. For the grand opening last month, BTN hosted a youth training event with NBA star trainer Chris Brickley and former NY Knicks player, Jared Jeffries, and of course, tons of student baseketball players. Shouts out to the power of the street artist who brought everyone together. That’s art.
