BjÖrk’s Summer Tour Shows Her Romantic Side

Everyone’s favorite art pop star, Björk, is on tour this summer and the legendary Icelandic artist is promoting her latest album “Utopia,” which is in her typically otherworldly style.
She recently spoke with Vogue on her visual collaborators – British embroidery artist James Merry and the Berlin make-up artist Hungry, who help craft her look for this tour. There are bone-like headpieces, alien-like headdresses and surrealist makeup.

To Björk, it’s all in a normal day’s work. “The album Utopia is about exercising the muscle in us that imagines a positive future – to come up with solutions, instead of facing our environmental struggles with self-pity and hopelessness,” she told Vogue.
“In every moment in history, it has always been difficult to imagine the next stage. This album is an attempt to go there.”
