The past couple of seasons, Chanel has presented its mid-season Cruise and Pre-Fall shows in locations like Cuba or Rome
Now, the Parisian house has announced that it will be heading to New York for its upcoming Pre-Fall 2018 show on December 4. What could be a better location to host the show than the Metropolitan Museum of Art? And ever since Coco’s first visit in 1931, Chanel actually has long-term ties with the Big Apple.
“Karl Lagerfeld is also very attached to the American mega-city whose energy and light he has always loved to capture,” Chanel said.
Introduced by Lagerfeld in 2002, the Métiers d’Art show ignited the pre-collection frenzy and has become one of the brand’s most important deliveries.
The last presentation of Métiers d’Art by Chanel was in Lagerfeld’s hometown of Hamburg in December 2017, and this edition will mark the third time a Chanel show is held in NYC.
We don’t know what else to expect from the show at the moment, but for sure, Karl will not disappoint.
