The legendary cult filmmaker David Lynch is having a moment. He is releasing a forthcoming tell-all autobiography Room to Dream is out June 19, which focuses on looking back on his career, his biggest creative struggles, as well as where the filmmaker opens up about the struggles he has faced to bring his unconventional vision to the screen. The book is not just his own opinions of himself, there are also interviews with all his ex-wives (!) and actors he’s worked with (like Isabella Rossellini). On May 19, stay tuned for Lynch’s music and film gathering the Festival of Disruption, which launches on May 19 for the first time in Brooklyn (it is usually held in Los Angeles).The festival donates proceeds to the David Lynch Foundation, which promotes transcendental meditation, and plans to help victims of domestic violence, PTSD veterans and underserved urban youth.
