So Drake is apparently a fan of Murakami! Who knew?
As the Japanese artist is gearing up for his Gagosian Hong Kong show this September 20, he is posting pics of the three new sculptures he’s planning to show. That includes a new Flowers piece and two of his beloved characters, KAIKAI and KIKI.
In one pic, of KIKI, @champagnepapi himself comments “Um I need this if it’s Keke.”
He’s referencing the chorus to his new song off his album Scorpion, “In My Feelings,” in which the Drake raps “Keke, do you love me? Are you riding? I’ll be there for you always.”
While there are some rumors that Keke is the nickname for Kim Kardashian, she has shut down any affair rumors on the Shade Room. But Keke is also the name of Drake’s first girlfriend, and they’ve stayed friends.
Drake is a huge fan of Murakami and has worn a Flowers hoodie, but maybe it’s time to beef up his art collection.
