My signature outfit…jeans and a T-shirt – but never a plain T-shirt.

The best style advice I was ever given…I look like a jackass in a fedora.

I would never wear…white pants.

Number of unanswered mails in your account today… ugh, please don’t remind me.

My favourite travel device is… a refurbished 160 GB iPod – the old-school, click wheel version – so that I have lots of music at my disposal.

On a plane I normally spend my time… reading. It’s the only time I feel like I can do it without getting distracted by a bunch of other things.

Top 3 songs on my headphone… in 2018? It’s probably been “Truth” by Kamasi Washington, “Another Weekend” by Ariel Pink, and a DJ mix by Moko Shibata, a Japanese woman who goes by the name Powder.

In the gym I… can’t wait to get out of the gym.

What’s on for dinner… a delicious $8-taco salad from a place on the block.

My necessary extravagance is… the ability to keep my schedule open enough to do projects that I like, in addition to the ones I need to do to pay the bills.

If I could host a party for anyone it would be… Marcel Duchamp, Brian Eno, and Dr. Seuss, to see what they’d talk about. The other two aren’t alive anymore, but Brian – feel free to come over any time.

In the art world currently I find most exciting that… art and design (and humor) have crossed over from the “art world” into other disciplines and industries.

My daily art read is… Instagram!

In my bedroom I have an artwork by… Corita Kent (I’d invite her to the party, also!)

The most arty city is… it feels so cliché to say it, but it’s New York City, right?

My favourite art-world ladies are… Dana Schutz, Candy Chang, Alyson Shotz, ELLE, Maya Hayuk, Sarah Reynolds, Swoon.
