Fluorescent Teddy Bears Are Taking over New York

Walking into Perrotin Gallery in New York is like finding a circus of bears – all made of feather boas.

The Italian artist Paola Pivi is showing “We Are the Baby Gang”, 75 handmade feathered bears that are spread across the gallery in hues of pink, purple, blues and greens.

It ties into the artist’s recent trip to India, where she was inspired by bright potent hues of colors, while the bear motif is inspired by the wildlife in crisis she saw while living in Alaska.
