If you didn’t hear, Beyonce and Jay-Z recorded a music video at the Louvre museum in Paris, which was released last month, for their “Apeshit” video – Bey-themed tours at the museum have followed.
Now, the queen of pop has set her eyes on the Colosseum in Rome, where the singer is inquiring about shooting a video in the Colosseum around the dates of July 7-8, roughly the same time she and Jay-Z will play concerts in Milan and Rome.
According to Slate, the request was too last-minute for Italy’s slow-moving bureaucracy at the Ministry for Cultural Heritage, who explained to an Italian newspaper that they denied the request.
“We need the necessary cautions and technical inspections to evaluate the quality and the impact of the project,” the Ministry said in a statement to the Italian newspaper. Coincidentally, those dates at the Colosseum are already booked by Italian sex symbol Alberto Angela, who will speak there.
But rumors have it that Bey will keep looking into shooting at the ancient location. Stay tuned.
