Renowned fashion house Fendi has teamed up with South Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster to create a collaborative capsule collection of sunglasses. Dubbed Gentle Fendi, the line includes two unisex styles – a narrow cat-eye frame, which has already been sported by Kaia Gerber, and an oversized aviator design – which can both be bought in three unedited colourways.
Fendi describes the sunglasses as “blurring the line between digital and reality.” The models in the ad campaign appear in a futuristic world, playing with various floating objects. These images are probably a glimpse into the soon-to-be-opened Gentle Fendi Café, which will pop-up inside Gentle Monster’s flagship store in Seoul. In addition to serving up food created especially for the café, visitors will also be able to experience various art installations based on the design style of both Gentle Monster and Fendi.
Gentle Fendi will be available online and in selected boutiques from 7 May 2019
Gentle Fendi Café will be open between 8 May and 29 July 2019
