Get Electrified by Sandra Nedvetskaia
A new answer to the crumbling art world
Art Stuff 14 Apr 2020

Sandra Nedvetskaia is by far no stranger in the art world. Having kicked off her career with Christies, and later co-directed Russia’s Cosmoscow art fair, Sandra now spends most of her time in Zurich where she acts as an advisor, organises and curates exhibitions/happenings and is very knowledgable when it come to working with new technologies in art (Hello, Virtual Reality!).

While the world is going under and in quarantine, together with a friend she newly launched her recent venture with a healthy dose of humour and a spoonful of hope.

Electric Art Collective is an online platform bringing you carefully selected, affordable contemporary art by mid-career artists.

Created in the spring of 2020 with artist Peter Hauser, the pair have found themselves and their peers in an uncertain world and in a crumbling economy, where livelihoods of artists and art dealers alike came into question. Sharing a vision of beauty, driven by the search for visual poetry and fuelled by an obsession for collecting their contemporaries, Sandra and Peter wished for collectors to continue enjoying art out of their home offices and for new ones to get inspired, whilst allowing artists to share their work.

A concept born out of passion for art amidst the world going under, in quarantine, with a healthy dose of humour and a spoonful of hope, the EAC works like a collective, where one can interact, have fun, stay creative, get into the artists’ minds and find something for every budget.

EAC launched with six Zurich-based artists but aims to broaden the selection outside of the Swiss borders in the near future. Those include Myriam Gämperli, Peter Hauser or Tanja Roscic.

“We feel strongly that artistic expression reflects our collective consciousness and can help positively transform our attitudes, give hope and be a source of perpetual inspiration.

There is no age nor budget to start collecting art. In our view no wall should sit empty – neither yours nor your friends.” Sandra Nedvetskaia & Peter Hauser.

Head here to discover, collect and maybe also, to simply give art to others.
