Get ready because this year’s MET Gala is themed around camp fashion. Not camping as in glamping but camp as in theatre and kitsch, from John Waters to Virgil Abloh.
The curator of the MET’s Costume Institute Andrew Bolton has curated a Camp Fashion exhibition to accompany the annual celeb frenzy gala, which opens May 9.
From Jeremy Scott to Gucci and House of Schiaparelli, expect the most over-the-top fashion, from bouquet dresses to gold and text-based boots dripping with sarcasm.
