We all love fashion and just like art, in the age of lockdowns and quarantines, fashion keeps on hustling. While models and photographers can’t get together as easily as they used to, our favourite designers and magazines are thinking of innovative new ways to catch our attention and make us smile during these super weird times. The latest arty fashion masterpiece has been delivered to us thanks to Vogue Italia. The magazine’s newest fashion film features a beautiful pink-haired lady called Exquisite, their isolation muse who “loves to collect handbags and dance in the nude.”
Directed by Craig Hemming and Carolina Mizrahi, with make-up by Rachel Milligan, Exquisite’s CGI design was made by Lucy Bradbury. Twirling around with Louboutin, Fendi, and Balenciaga accessories, Exquisite expertly models Vogue Italia’s favourite Spring/Summer accessories that invoke the flavours of their favourite ice creams. We love her cool attitude and candy floss coloured hair, which some on Instagram have likened to Anna Wintour’s trademark cut, so we know she’s got style!
Winking to the camera and flicking her legs, she reminds us that fashion and fun will never disappear, while the music in the backdrop sings: “catch a falling star and put it in your pocket, never let it fade away.” Exquisite reminds us all that even in quarantine our stars will never fade away.
