For the past year, Gucci Beauty has been teaming up with Lebanese illustrator Nour Flayhan, creating dreamy images to accompany their latest fragrances. To coincide with the launch of In Bloom Gocce Di Fiori, Flayhan was inspired by the mystical gatherings of the daughters of eve after the chaotic thunder and warm rain parts on the first day of spring. “The first signs of light and colour after a period of darkness, opening your eyes after being asleep for months in the garden under the jasmine bush. Together they bloom from the delicate, dreamy, romantic and magical blooms of our earth to create new memories and stories that are passed down and shared through generations in bottles of Gocce Di Fiori by mechanical robotic hands”, says Flayhan. The dusky pink illustrations show women gathered together under Arabesque arches, holding perfume and surrounded by flowers.

This is not the first commission Flayhan has shared with Gucci; she also created illustrations for the launch of Gucci Bloom Acqua Di Flori in May 2018. For this particular collaboration, Flayhan was one of 15 female artists from across the world invited by Gucci to create artistic responses to the fragrance, which was inspired by a vast garden filled with many plants. Flayhan’s drawings were filled with delicate flowers, butterflies adorned with human eyes and henna-covered hands. The women in the images are dripping in Gucci, accompanied by Flayhan’s own lyrics: “Together we rise from the water, together we bloom, together we make the most beautiful field of flowers.”
After the unveiling of her first illustrations, Flayhan flew to the Gucci Gardens in Florence, meeting the Gucci perfumer Alberto Morillas and attending the perfume’s secret launch. She later collaborated again with Gucci for the launch of Bloom’s Nettare Di Fiori – a blend of jasmine, Rangoon creeper, tuberose, ginger, rose, musk and patchouli.
Gucci’s fragrances are available online and in stores.
