Earlier this year, Hello Kitty debuted its first rocket train in Tokyo. Now, the namesake Japanese cartoon has opened a new cafe in California, and it moonlights as a cocktail bar after hours.

The Hello Kitty Cafe is awash in pink. Expect to order up cakes, donuts and pastries themed around the Japanese cute-overload cartoon.
Afternoon tea is $55 per person, RSVP only, but there are sandwiches too, not to mentions scones, cookies and macarons topped with pink bows. Cocktails range from whiskey sours to Japanese whiskey drinks with matcha.

“The Hello Kitty Grand Cafe combines our signature fast-casual setting with an all-new immersive dining experience,” said Sanrio COO Craig Takiguchi in a statement. “We look forward to debuting the latest evolution of Hello Kitty Cafe as a new destination in Southern California.”
