Who are the best couples in the art world? The Hirshhorn Museum claims to know, as they’re honoring 25 creative couples at their New York Gala on November 5.
Bringing together and honoring some of the most important artists, gallerists, writers and philanthropists working today in the art world, the honorees include Eva & Adele to KAWS and Julia Chiang.
But they’re not all romantic, however. Everyone from Elmgreen & Dragset (a couple who broke up but still work together) and even The Chapman Brothers (who are really brothers) are being honored.
“Each year, the Hirshhorn celebrates those who have made landmark contributions to the arts,” said Hirshhorn Director Melissa Chiu.
“This year, I am especially proud to honor these 25 phenomenal duos whose achievements—both individually and collectively—within their respective fields have played a formative role in shaping the next generation of art history.”
