Instagramming Advice from Girl Boss Lisa Congdon
Stretch yourself.
Entertainment 31 Mar 2019

Lisa Congdon is more than an illustrator and artist. As the author of 7 books, and having worked with clients that range from the Museum of Modern Art to Harvard University, Congdon has a savvy approach to running her own business.
This not-to-miss keynote speaker who is talking at the HOW Design Live conference in Chicago on May 8, is going to be talking about Art is Power: Let’s Share It, which covers her tips as an Instagram queen and much more.
Her hot tip? “I would not have a career without Instagram,” she says.
“My work is bold and colorful and often contains messages about stuff in life that I think is important. So my work gets shared a lot and tends to get a lot of engagement. It’s where I get most work, where people see my work and then go buy it from my shop (say, when I release a new print). It’s where the customers for my brick and mortar shop find me.”
