Happy Monday, TAGers! We are just two weekends away from Christmas according to my chocolate advent calendar. Have you all finalised your Christmas shopping or bought your party dresses, and glittery make up yet? For those in need of an ounce of inspiration, a little birdie told me that Iris Apfel is selling her own personal collection of standout jewellery. In other news, rumour has it Yeezus (aka Kanye West) is feeling merry after being released from hospital – just in time for Christmas. Last week, he was spotted at MOCA for a little therapeutic art trip. Aside from the return of a happy Yeezy, Brett Gorvy has left Christie’s to join forces with Dominique Levy.
Find out what else happened below…
#1 Gorvy leaves Christie’s for Levy

It was announced last Wednesday that Brett Gorvy, Christie’s Chairman and Head of Postwar and Contemporary Art will leave the auction house after 23 years to partner with reputable art dealer Dominique Levy. This new “formidable” partnership will be called “Levy Gorvy”.
#2 Swizz Beatz No Commission Fair Came to London

From Miami to the Bronx, London was up next to host Swizz Beatz’s unique fair “No Commission” from December 8 to 10. The event offered an interesting visual mix as well as music performances by Emeli Sandé, Blood Orange, and Swizz Beatz himself.
#3 Iris Apfel Sells Off Pieces From Her OWN Jewellery Collection

Wouldn’t you love to own statement jewellery pieces by the fashion icon that is Iris Apfel? This could be your chance. The 95-year-old recently partnered with home-decor destination One King’s Lane on an exclusive sale of her personal outlandish jewellery collection. The sale launched last Tuesday on One King’s Lane website.

#4 Kanye West Paid A Visit to MOCA in Los Angeles After Hospital Release

Spotted! A seemingly happy (and blonde) Kanye West was given a private tour of Rick Owens’ exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles last Thursday. This was apparently his first semi-public outing since his admittance to hospital last month. It seems Yeezy was in need of a little art therapy.
#5 Rare Works by Zaha Hadid On Show At London’s Serpentine Gallery

London’s Serpentine Gallery offers you the chance to enter the incredible creative mind of Zaha Hadid. The exhibition “Zaha Hadid: Early Paintings and Drawings” features a selection of rare abstract works by the late architect, located in the gallery’s extension building “Serpentine Sackler Gallery”, which the architect designed herself. The show will be on view until February 12 2017.
