Easter Art Hunt with Jaden Smith and what else is not to be missed in Art, Fashion, Pop Culture
Jaden Smith starts easter art hunt; Bansky opens a hotel; KAWS designs new Nike sneakers; selfie-tak...
Entertainment 06 Mar 2017

The Armory Show has just come to a close on Sunday, yet there is no rest for the wicked. More art fairs will roll in this month including TEFAF Maastricht and the string of art events in Hong Kong notably Art Basel HK and Art Central which continue to bring in a flock of international buyers and collectors. It has come to my attention however that you do not always have to travel to art fairs to buy worthy pieces of art. A certain American actor is changing the art game by leaving his work in the streets of LA (for free). Interested art lovers can even head to their local malls or stores to buy collectible works of art as a renowned artist has collaborated with a big fashion label.

It seems there’s an early easter hunt happening in Los Angeles. The prize: Jaden Smith’s hidden Basquiat-like art works he fortunately left on the streets for his fans to snatch up. The actor (and son of Will Smith) is currently dropping clues on his Twitter account, posting “I just left my art piece here…” followed by a picture of the location. Gotta catch them all!

Yayoi Kusama-all the love I have a for the pumpkin_theartgorgeous
Dangerous selfie-takers hit again, this time at Washington, DC’s Hirshhorn Museum. The crime reportedly took place inside Yayoi Kusama’s infinity room where a visitor lost his footing, therefore costing the life of an iconic polka-dot pumpkin sculpture. Those selfie sticks are deadly!
#3 Banksy Is Getting Into the Hotel Business
The mysterious Brit artist just revealed his latest outrageous venture yet. Banksy has recently opened the doors of a hotel located in Bethlehem, just next to the wall which separates Israel from Palestinian territories. According to the artist’s team, “The Walled Off Hotel” is definitely not an artistic stunt, but an actual business venture. You can book your stay at the guesthouse, which additionally hosts various exhibitions from Palestinian artists.
