Jo Malone's Summer Afternoon

Committed and endeavoured to bring the British artisans’ know-how and innovation to view, Jo Malone London has forged a homey and cozy partnership with artist and wallpaper designer Marthe Armitage for a limited edition, titled Summer Afternoon which is the quote selected from Marthe’s favourite authors Henry James.

Now in her 80s, Marthe is still dedicatedly designing papers at her home in Chiswick, with the release of the new, delicate pattern recognising Marthe’s supreme artistry. Having “thought about the river, about plants and planting, and then gardens” with the creative team, Marthe’s design aims to capture a wonderfully chill English summer afternoon in which the use of blackcurrent, fig, honey bees, and chose pear tree imbues a leisurely sentiment and enchanting haze.
