Salary Range: Up to $18.5000 Hourly


The Administrative Membership Associate position serves a vital role in maintaining the museum’s membership program, supporting the Director of Membership in gift entry and acknowledgment, including sorting and organizing membership letters for printing and mailing and for issuing email renewals.    


  • Works with Director of Membership to process gifts for general membership, processing and fulfillment of general membership acknowledgments, and other projects as needed.
  • Monitor Membership voice mail and email accounts and responds to member and public inquiries concerning membership, addresses questions and concerns, and resolves issues quickly and efficiently, routing concerns from Major Donors to Major Gift Officers, Members concerns to the Director of Membership and ticketing and programming questions to Admissions Manager.   
  • Organize other membership mailings such as renewal and acquisition campaigns, membership magazine, and event invitations.
  • Manage monthly email renewal process with Marketing department.
  • Responsible for helping maintain the Membership records database; clean-up, returned mail entries, NCOA changes as well as other maintenance and corrective tasks.
  • Flexible and responsive to changing tasks and priorities as needed by the Membership team.


  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Must be able to collaborate well cross-departmentally
  • Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends
  • Applicant will keep an open mind to all situations and will view their tasks with a DEAI (diversity, equity, access and inclusion) lens
  • Ability to meet deadlines


  • Familiarity with Altru or other fundraising database software
  • Undergraduate degree and art history knowledge
