JOB OVERVIEW

To support and coordinate valuation production across EMERI as part of the King Street Estates, Appraisals & Valuations Department. The successful candidate should have a genuine interest in valuations, excellent attention to detail and a keen interest in art history. This role will require strong time management skills to coordinate multiple projects at once, while also managing internal and external client expectations and delivering to tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks: (Duties include but are not limited to the following)

  • Coordinating typing, and correcting valuation documents, liaising with specialists and taking responsibility for the final work through thorough proofing
  • Typing and proofing valuations in European languages
  • Coordinating printing and binding of valuations, organising sign off for all single figure valuations
  • Cross referencing valuation and client information between documents
  • Assisting with Account Managed Valuations, including planning visits, travel schedules, research, typing, archiving, and final checks
  • Special projects as assigned by Business Manager or Head of Department

The Candidate

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience
  • Strong relationship and in depth knowledge of international auction department preferred
  • Knowledge of at least one European language preferred
  • Knowledge of Fine and Applied Arts
  • Excellent professional communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally
  • Well presented with excellent client facing skills
  • Proven ability to work independently with minor supervision
  • Proficient computer skills, knowledge of Christie’s internal systems helpful (JAMES, CAMS, Property, Siebel)
  • Flexible team player with initiative
  • Detail orientated with numerical and analytical skills
