Pace Gallery is a leading international art gallery representing some of the most influential contemporary artists and estates from the past century. Since its founding by Arne Glimcher in 1960, Pace has developed a distinguished legacy as an artist-first gallery that mounts seminal historical and contemporary exhibitions. Under the current leadership of President and CEO Marc Glimcher, Pace continues to support its artists and share their visionary work with audiences worldwide by remaining at the forefront of innovation. Today, Pace has nine locations worldwide including London, Geneva, a strong foothold in Palo Alto and two galleries in New York. Pace was one of the first international galleries to establish outposts in Asia where it operates permanent spaces in Hong Kong and Seoul.

Pace Gallery is seeking a highly creative and production-oriented Associate Director of Content to join its growing Communications & Public Engagement team. This person will be responsible for production of the gallery’s in-house films, audio output, and digital livestream events, and will oversee written editorial content created in support of the gallery’s exhibition program, digital projects, Pace Live, and artists’ broader activities.

The Associate Director of Content will lead the gallery’s Content team, including line management of a full-time Video Editor and Writer/Editor. They will be responsible for identifying and setting the priorities of the Content team based on guidance from the Directors within Communications & Public Engagement (encompassing Marketing, PR, Events & Public Programs, and Publications.) This person will play a central role in the development of holistic content strategies and content plans to populate the gallery’s various communications channels. A focus of the role will be on bringing Pace’s live programs to digital audiences.

The Associate Director of Content will have a strong background in production and editorial, including a directorial voice, a capacity for storytelling, an aesthetic sensibility, and superb project management capabilities. A high comfort level with hands-on production is essential, since a principal responsibility of the role will be the end-to-end production of high-quality, engaging film content for distribution across the gallery’s digital media channels. This includes all aspects from pre-production, organizing and overseeing film shoots as the on-site production lead, communicating with artists and other internal and external stakeholders, and coordinating post-production and editing in collaboration with the Video Editor.

The Associate Director of Content will also collaborate closely with other departments within the gallery, including Sales, Curatorial, Imaging, and Research & Archives, in the execution of their responsibilities.Department
