At New Art Est-Ouest Auctions, we are an auction house specializing in art, antiques, and rare collectibles. With a rich history and reputation, we provide a dynamic and stimulating work environment for individuals who are eager to immerse themselves in the world of auctions.
Responsibilities:
– Assist with social media posts and graphic designs.
– Assist with sales presentation.
– Assist with cataloging and inventory management of auction items.
– Conduct research on artists, historical context, and market values to support accurate item descriptions.
– Collaborate with auction specialists to prepare auction catalogs and marketing materials.
– Provide support during auction previews/exhibitions and events, including assisting with client inquiries and registration.
– Assist in coordinating logistics for incoming and outgoing auction items, including packaging and shipping arrangements.
– Help with the organization and maintenance of auction records, databases, and filing systems.
– Support the auction team with administrative tasks and general office duties as required.
Qualifications:
– BA or student in Art History from a reputable university
– Passion for art and the auction industry
– Social media savvy
– Ability to use design software is a plus
– Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
– Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
– Strong research skills and the ability to gather and synthesize information
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
– Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks
– Prior experience or coursework in art history, business, or related fields is a plus
-Native English, good command of Chinese and/or Japanese
-Eligible to work in Hong Kong
