JOB OVERVIEW

About the job

Role context

Every year millions of people visit us in London’s Trafalgar Square to see some of the world’s most famous paintings. These artworks are also enjoyed online, and shared with galleries across the UK and internationally through partnerships. As such our product portfolio is varied – from free access to art in the Gallery and online, to paid products such as exhibitions and merchandise.

Last year a new Marketing & Insight department was formed to work across brand, acquisition, retention and audience insight. We work with colleagues across the Gallery to bring people and paintings together.

Role summary

Salary: £33,418 p/a plus civil service pension

The Audience Researcher runs a portfolio of research projects to help us understand our visitors. The role works across market research and product research – making recommendations to improve engagement, brand loyalty, advocacy and revenue.

The ideal candidate has a background in survey writing and working knowledge of qualitative research methodologies. We’re about to update our audience strategy and develop new audience segments, so creativity and collaboration will be important. You’ll also have the technical skills to collect and manage data through our platforms, and with agencies.

If you’re a research specialist who loves to create insights and drive decision-making, please visit our website for more information and to apply.

Closing date: Sunday 31 July.
