    Essential Tasks may include, but are not limited to:
    • Support Development Department with major annual Fall Fundraisers, Corporate Luncheon and KIDS JAMM at PAMM, and other department events
    • Assist with sponsorship deck creation, event planning/marketing, fundraising, and donor reports
    • Perform essential database management tasks including gift processing, updating donor records, managing lists in Altru
    • Work closely with the department with documentation and acknowledgement of donations
    • Assist with planning and executing special events and corporate sponsorships for the Museum
    • Administrative duties as assigned
  • Requirements
    • College/University Senior or Recent Graduate with a degree in Business, Museum Studies, Nonprofit Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related fields
    • Strong written English skills
    • Strong interest in research and administration
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Graphic design/experience building presentations/decks a plus
    • Self-directed individual
    • Innovative, proactive and critical thinking
    • Flexibility and curiosity with assignments
    • Pride and initiative in one’s work
    • Attention to detail
    • Computer and software skills including Microsoft Office, and ability to learn other software
    • Academic knowledge or practical experience in performing the essential tasks listed below

    Position Overview: Welcomed through the Citi Foundation Museum Management Internship program, the Development Intern will work collaboratively across key administrative departments to learn about best practices in financing and fundraising for the Museum field while performing project-based tasks and participating in daily business operations. The goal of the program is to introduce bright talents to multiple career paths within the non-profit world. For that purpose, the Development Intern will be introduced to 3 distinct roles within the department: Fundraising/Event Planning, Corporate Sponsorship, Grant Management, and Individual Giving. The applicants should have passion for community work, art, and an interest in the non-profit world, business, and arts administration. The ideal candidate should be driven, detail oriented and engaging. This is an opportunity to learn about how non-profit organizations finance their operation to serve their mission and vision. Once a month, interns will take virtual and/or in=person networking field trips to neighboring cultural organizations to hear from their administrators about various institutions’ practices and differentiating factors. They will also have the opportunity to network with PAMM employees and learn about career paths through brown bag lunch meetings. The Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) Internship will provide an active training ground for participants to gain new skills and knowledge of arts administration to apply to future employment in museums and cultural institutions. This is a paid internship opportunity supported by Citi Foundation for a total of 320 hours with a flexible schedule of approximately 18h/week. The position will start remotely but candidates must be available to work on-site in Miami as needed. PAMM’s work week is typically M-F 9-5pm with occasional special events outside of normal business hours. 
  • Learning Outcomes:
    • Students will explore development career tracks in the museum world
    • Students will gain understanding of how the financial and logistical needs of an arts organization are reached through donations, fundraising events and donor relations
    • Students will have the opportunity to network and learn about career paths in the Museum
