The Role

  • Support the MD in maintaining Christie’s professional profile and key client relations in Israel.
  • Take responsibility for project managing vendor and buyer issues for private and institutional clients.
  • Client facing position.

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

  • Support MD in maintaining client relations.
  • Management of client data including timely and accurate entry and analysis of key client data to generate business leads.
  • Close management of sale consignments, valuations and buyers to ensure smooth and effective client service, supporting MD in their consignments.
  • Take on project managing all vendor related aspects for collections secured in or via Israel; for example liaison with lawyers on contracts, advisors on selling terms, etc.
  • Consignment management.
  • Tracking and managing buying and selling activities reporting through the TA office.
  • Assist with buyer activities such as sale registration and KYC sale follow up.
  • Valuation management including liaison with specialist/valuation departments abroad.
  • Support local event organization including securing a venue, catering, signage, etc.
  • Ensure that key data on all clients in Israel are on COS and regularly review for business opportunities and regularly review and update Goldplus and COS.
  • Systematically search the media for updating client information: obituaries, financial news etc.
  • In close co-ordination with the MD, attend art related functions in Israel to represent the company and to support clients’ special interests.
  • To work together with the Client and Business Development Advisor in relation to book keeping/finance responsibilities including liaison with the local accountant and tax authorities.
  • Keep track of consignment and event related expenses.
  • Represent Christie’s discreetly and professionally at all times.

The Candidate

  • Knowledge of and appreciation of fine and decorative arts.
  • Fluent in spoken and written Hebrew and English.
  • At least 5 years experience in dealing with clients on a face to face basis.
  • Experience in key areas of business including contracts, management of accounts and marketing.
