The Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia employs around 110 staff members in Switzerland and various regions around the world who are dedicated to promoting Swiss arts and culture.

Your tasks

You are a key contact in communication matters for Pro Helvetia, which works in all national Swiss languages and in English. You develop and implement cross-media communication measures and, with your high level of competence in English, contribute to the Communication team’s knowledge of English. Your main responsibilities are:

  • Close collaboration with a given division (e.g. Literature): definition of communication goals, development of relevant communication measures and campaigns tailored to the target groups concerned.
  • Writing texts and selecting images adjusted to the selected channel: website / social media / mailings / Newsletter / Annual report. Implementation of contents through the channels used by Pro Helvetia.
  • Proof-reading all English-language texts.

Your profile

  • For this multifunctional position we are seeking a committed personality who at least partly meets the
  • following requirements:
  • Communication-related education and multi-year experience in communication.
  • Experience in the use of social media, incl. management and implementation of campaigns via different channels.
  • Knowledge of or high learning ability regarding widely-used communication, planning and web tools (WordPress, swat.io, Miro, etc.).
  • Very good editorial skills, ability to think in an analytical and a synthetic way.
  • Experience in the Swiss cultural sector and/or affinity with contemporary art production.
  • Open, outgoing personality, familiarity with working in a multilingual environment.
  • Native language English (proof-reading), good written and spoken command of one or two Swiss national languages (German, French and/or Italian).
