The Victoria and Albert Museum’s Development department has a vacancy for a diligent and experienced Corporate Partnerships Manager to join its busy and successful Corporate Partnerships team.  The ideal candidate will be a highly organised fundraiser with the ability to generate income from, and build long- standing relationships with, the corporate sector.

Main Purpose of Job

The Corporate Partnerships Team works to maximise income for the V&A from businesses via brand partnerships and Corporate Membership. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will work to grow the V&A’s successful Corporate Membership scheme, delivering benefits to a broad range of companies, supporting the recruitment of new partners and ensuring effective and efficient administrative processes are in place.  The post-holder will also support the work of a busy and successful team in securing sponsorship for V&A exhibitions and managing sponsorship accounts.

Key Responsibilities
Corporate Membership
To grow the number of Corporate Members and secure contract renewals in line with targets as agreed with the Head of Corporate Partnerships. To be the day-to-day contact for V&A Corporate Members, building excellent relationships, understanding each Member’s particular requirements, and working closely with relevant V&A departments to ensure delivery of benefits to the highest possible standard. Research and identify prospects, making informed, well-targeted cold calls, written approaches and face to face presentations. Maintain a detailed annual schedule for delivery of the Corporate Membership scheme including dates for invoicing, preparing contracts, drafting thank you letters, organising mailings, drafting e-newsletters, planning events, writing reports and arranging meetings. Forecast and monitor income and expenditure for Corporate Membership, providing reports as necessary and chasing Corporate Members for timely payment. To manage the twice-yearly Corporate Partners’ ‘Evening exhibitions view’ event, working closely with colleagues in the Corporate Events Team. To manage the yearly ‘thank you’ event for Corporate Members and select Corporate Partners. Key Responsibilities
New business
Seek sponsorship for an agreed portfolio of V&A exhibitions and other projects in line with targets, working with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager and other members of the Corporate Partnerships Team. Identify and research prospects making informed, well-targeted cold calls and written approaches and participate in face-to-face presentations, ensuring professional and consistent follow-up with all prospects. Support the negotiation of sponsorships from contract initiation to signature. Assist with and attend V&A events, taking advantage of networking opportunities. To be the day-to-day point of contact for sponsors as agreed with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager, playing an active role in regular meetings with sponsors, liaising with colleagues to collate relevant updates, providing accurate minutes; and following up over details and deadlines of sponsorship benefit delivery. Collate all relevant information in a timely manner for reporting to sponsors following each project. Key Responsibilities
Work closely and co-operatively with the rest of the Development team and with V&A departments including Directorate, Communications, Marketing, Events, Visitor Services, Contact Centre, Learning and Finance; attending internal meetings and securing understanding of Corporate Membership and sponsorship buy-in across all departments. Maintain full and thorough records for all Corporate Partnerships on the CRM Microsoft Dynamics database. Attend appropriate events outside normal working hours. Be committed to health and safety and ensure familiarity with all the Museum’s health and safety policies and procedures. Be security conscious, ensure familiarity and co-operation with all museum security procedures. Promote equality and diversity in all aspects of your work by developing and maintaining positive working relationships, ensuring that colleagues are treated fairly and with respect/dignity and actively contributing to developments that support the museum’s strategy for widening access, inclusion and diversity. Carry out ad hoc duties as requested by appropriate managers within your department.

Current V&A policy is that staff should spend a minimum of 60% of working time on site.
