Miaou has an exciting opportunity for a Designer to join our team. This role would work directly with the Creative Director on the conception and execution of seasonal collections.

Duties and Responsibilities:

General Concept + Creative Direction:

• Conceptualize seasonal collections with Creative Director (including but not limited to all RTW, Accessories, Collabs, etc.)
• Manage seasonal collection research and development with the Creative Team.
• Liaise with Product Development to ensure all visual line lists seasonally, including any capsules, exclusives, collaborations, or special projects are updated for your overview with the Creative Team.

Collection Design + Development:

• Lead new body development requests for hand off to Product Development seasonally.
• Lead and manage print development for hand off to Product Development seasonally.
• Lead color palettes (i.e. pantones for Lab Dips) for hand off to Product Development seasonally.
• Lead fabric sourcing requests for hand off to Product Development seasonally.
• Liaise with Technical Design Team on executing T/Ps for all new development seasonally.
• Attend all collection fittings (virtually or in person) and provide qualitative feedback to Technical and Product Development Teams for further sample development.
• Co-edit and co-own line plans for new seasonal development hand off to Product Development seasonally.
• Liaise with Product Development to ensure overview on T&A calendar to assist Design Team on target for all development dates.
• Develop and improve the Miaou fit (and finishes), along with Product Developer & Technical Designer, bringing increased value to all garments.
• Champion processes, constantly improving, tweaking and building upon the current process within the Design Department.
