Description

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Development Officer, Corporate Relations to manage and execute fulfillment of donor benefits for all corporate gifts
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Corporate Partners Program benefits, including completing new and renewing membership fulfillment, as well as assisting with planning and executing special events and mailings
  • Work with Events Specialist, Development and Special Events department to help coordinate corporate donors’ private events held at the Museum
  • Coordinate private tours for corporate donors, in collaboration with departments across the Museum
  • Prepare and submit summary performance reports for corporate donors to major exhibitions, events, and programs
  • Maintain monthly website listings and promo code database for all corporate donors
  • Maintain signed donor agreements and keep track of benefit usage and redemption
  • Produce and track donor invoices
  • Work with the Development Officer, Corporate Relations to ensure corporate logo requirements for materials are approved and correct
  • Create meeting packets and solicitation packages with relevant inserts, assemble, and prepare for outgoing mail and/or delivery
  • Regular administrative duties, such as fielding calls, scheduling meetings, booking reservations, completing mailings, assembling packets, preparing briefings, updating databases, filing and record-keeping, and other duties as assigned
  • Assist with events (fundraising events/private rentals/meetings/lunches/dinners/tours), as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills; able to assess priorities and work well under pressure; excellent time management skills
  • Ability to plan and implement successful programs and activities, meet deadlines and successfully handle multiple projects
  • Excellent organization skills and written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with a wide range of museum staff and museum donors
  • Exercise sound judgment and discretion in the handling of confidential matters
  • Working knowledge of the non-profit environment
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable and demonstrable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
  • Experience in project management, client relations, or donor stewardship is preferred
  • Experience in a cultural or arts organization is a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

The MFAH is an organization comprised of 600+ employees and 1,000+ docents and volunteers. The museum is more than 100 years old and ranks nationally among the top 10 art museums in exhibition space, memberships, endowments, and attendance, with 1M visitors annually. Our multifaceted institution includes multiple gallery buildings, a sculpture garden, two art schools, and two house museums for decorative arts. The encyclopedic collection numbers more than 70,000 works of art in a wide range of media.

Work will be performed in varied and wide-ranging environments and conditions.  Physical demands will also vary.  Work may involve extended sitting and computer use.
