Pay Range: $45,000-$52,000, depending on experience in a similar role

Position Summary
The Development Database Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of records within Tessitura, the institution’s customer relationship management software (CRM) and driving projects that will foster excellence across the department. The Development Database Analyst will process all development gifts, produce reports and lists, and support annual fund initiatives. The Development Database Analyst is a key member of the Development team and is responsible for supporting the Museum’s fundraising and cultivation goals.

Major Responsibilities

  • Maintain a database for Development ensuring accurate and timely data input and effective annual database set-up.
  • Process all Development gifts.
  • Produce and update a wide variety of department reports and lists essential in managing and implementing department initiatives. This includes production of weekly revenue and campaign reports, event invitations and reminders, and renewal, prospect, and acquisition lists.
  • Support the Senior Manager of Membership and Annual Fund on annual fund solicitations and acknowledgements.
  • Work closely with a cross-department Tessitura team to identify and maximize the information needed by the Development department.
  • Deliver database-related projects. Such projects may include updating the training manual, department training, screening the database regularly for duplicate records, address updating, entry of new contact or biographical information, cleanup of inconsistent or deficient information in various database fields, and other similar projects that serve to improve the information in the database.
  • Support budgeting by processing invoices and expenses for the department.
  • Work events as necessary on nights and occasionally on weekends.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

RequirementsRequired

  • Experience with fundraising databases; use of Tessitura preferred.
  • Demonstrated capability with Excel and Google Workspace.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to follow process are absolutely essential.
  • Logical thinking and solid computational math skills are required.
  • Good judgment and ability to be discreet and handle confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a high-demand environment.
  • Eagerness to learn, with capability to collaborate and work as part of a team effectively.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Strong preference for experience with Tessitura.
  • Experience with or willingness to learn SQL.
