We’re looking for an exceptional Curator to join us at Serpentine.

You will have a breadth of experience in curating exhibitions and projects with artists across different generations, from emerging to late career, and new commissions to retrospective surveys.  You will bring with you considerable knowledge of international modern and contemporary art and architecture and an interest in cross-disciplinary dialogue. You will have a proven track record of  working within a curatorial department or producing independent arts projects with a focus on exhibition making. You will report to the Director of Curatorial Affairs and Public Practice and you will have line management responsibility for an Assistant Curator.

You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills to enable you to work in close collaboration with the Artistic Director, the Director of Curatorial Affairs and Public Practice and the Chief Curator, to ensure the smooth delivery of exhibitions, commissioned projects and publications. You will be adept at working with artists at every stage of their career and dealing persuasively and sensitively with external stakeholders. You will have excellent research and project management skills, particularly in relation to devising, organising and providing a critical context for programmes.
