Affordable Art Fair is on the lookout to hire Fair Coordinatorthat is dynamic, organized, and proactive individual to support our galleries to grow their business across all three Australian fairs in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. An entry level role the ideal candidate will have a passion for art, love to engage with galleries and ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to learn and grow.

Affordable Art Fair formula is simple – a relaxed, unstuffy environment in which people feel confident to explore, learn about and buy contemporary art under a ceiling price of $10,000. Founded in 1999, the Affordable Art Fair is the world’s biggest art fair organiser and now hosts 14 physical fairs annually around the world, including London, New York, Hong Kong, Hamburg, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in 2024. It is owned by Ramsay Fairs, which also includes VOLTA Art Fair.

This role is primarily focussed on supporting galleries to successfully exhibit at the three Affordable Art Fairs in Australian. The role involves researching, recruiting and supporting potential exhibitors and taking ownership of the administrative processes of our CRM system. The Fair Coordinator will receive coaching from our experienced Australian team and be part of organizing our established fairs in Sydney and Melbourne as well as helping to launch in Brisbane.

Part of a gallery team the role will be directly supporting the Fair Manager as well as Regional Managing Director and Fair Director. The ideal candidate requires a proactive ‘can do’ attitude, love of engaging with galleries, enjoy detail and the ability to work remotely.


Gallery & artist account management

  • Managing databases of interested galleries, artists and partners in Salesforce and ensuring quality of information and becoming a super-user for Australia.
  • Helping team to recruiting galleries to join the three Affordable Art Fairs in Australia and guiding them with the application process.
  • Supporting the selection committee to review and accept galleries and their artists.
  • Supporting galleries pre-fair and onsite, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth fair participation experience answering all questions.
  • Key support on gallery communications.
  • Support Fair Manager and Fair Directors to manage floor plan and stand allocation process.
  • Support programming with Young Talent, artists in action, special projects and education features.

Marketing suppport

  • Support marketing by providing gallery stories and content to deliver brand content across all channels,

General administration

  • Expected to keep fastidious records and learn all company systems (Salesforce, Box, Exhibitor Portal).
  • Manage Australian email inbox.
  • Become SalesForce superuser.


  • Entry level role with willingness to learn and develop.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with the Australian commercial art scene.
  • Relationship driven with customer service mindset and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Acute attention to detail, high efficiency, and practical organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while being an active remote team member.
  • Ability and multitask, working well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Sketchup skills a bonus


  • This is a permanent position with 3-month probation
  • Ideal candidate location is Sydney, NSW
  • Candidate is required to travel to fairs in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and also visit galleries.
