Bruce Silverstein Gallery seeks a highly organized and self-motivated individual to fill the role of a part-time Art Handler. Approximately 3 days a week. $30-35/hour + annual bonus.
Job duties include:
Packing and shipping artwork.
Handling and installing artworks at the gallery, local art fairs, and occasionally at clients’ homes.
Maintain gallery appearance and handle repairs, including walls, floors, and lighting.
Ensure all art storage areas are organized and clean.
Handle and manage the receipt of shipments of artwork.
Execute condition reports with Registrars.
Properly store works and organize storage.
General gallery maintenance and upkeep.
Skills and Requirements:
Possession of minor carpentry skills.
A minimum of 2 years experience handling artwork.
Ability to communicate well with co-workers, vendors, and clients.
