Camden Art Centre is recruiting for a Gallery Technician and Duty Manager (Weekend) to support the ongoing high standards of our building and programmes. This hands-on, dynamic role involves supporting exhibition fabrication and installation, technical delivery for workshops and events and maintaining the building to ensure it remains in top condition.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Gallery Manager to assist with exhibition installations, providing technical support for audio-visual setups and troubleshooting as needed. They will also play a key role in ensuring that spaces are set up and prepared for a variety of programmed activities, from workshops to commercial events. Alongside these responsibilities, they will maintain the building’s high standards through ongoing repairs and facilities management.
As a Duty Manager, you will be a key point of contact for our Front of House team, supporting them with operational tasks and ensuring the safety and security of the building. You will also be responsible for health and safety compliance, including managing fire evacuation procedures and acting as a First Aider when needed.
